In 1985, after coming closer to the Lord, I started writing Christian poetry. Words about my relationship with God came naturally, and my poems were published in my church newsletter.

I longed to meet other writers, and God answered my prayer. In 1990, a postcard unexpectedly arrived with information about a Christian writers’ group in the next town. I joined immediately. After six months, the leaders could no longer attend and the group asked me to take charge. I accepted, as I did not want the group to break up.

I have been leading this Christian writers group for the past 20 years and still enjoy encouraging writers to perfect their craft and submit their writing regularly.

My Christian poems, devotions, and Christian Short Stories have been published several hundred times in numerous denominational publications. My writing has also appeared in over a dozen book compilations.

I make my own Christmas and Easter cards incorporating my Christian poetry and send them to three hundred friends and family. I use this as a ministry to reach out with the gospel message.

My husband, Jim, and I have been married 53 years. We have five married sons and nine grandchildren.
